High West Master Distiller Explains Blending Sourced and Own-Made Whiskey

Well-known for its blends of sourced whiskey, Utah’s High West Distillery announced in May 2018 that its Double Rye would now include rye distilled in-house. Master distiller Brendan Coyle sat down with Whisky Advocate’s executive editor, Jeffery Lindenmuth, to explain how he is able to incorporate a completely different whiskey and still achieve the same flavor profile.
